to the final files.
Each property and permit request is different. Our workflow makes the responsibilities, deliverables and review points clear before you commit to drafting.
See what to send
Tell us where and what you’re building.
Start with the property address, the proposed work and its approximate dimensions. Send a survey, existing plot plan or photographs if you have them; you don’t need a complete drawing package just to request pricing.
- North Carolina address and municipality or county
- Project type, proposed size and basic placement
- Any existing survey, sketch or reviewer comments

Review the drawing scope and quote.
We assess the work against the source documents and any city or county checklist you provide. Before drafting, we describe the specific drawing sheets, file formats, fees, exclusions and estimated schedule.
- Drawing list and deliverables
- Project-specific price and expected timeline
- Separate requirements flagged in advance

Check the draft before it’s finalized.
We prepare the agreed drawings using the confirmed property information. Review the site layout, dimensions, labels and improvement locations, then send consolidated corrections on the PDF.
- Review proposed location and footprint
- Confirm setbacks and dimensions shown
- Mark revisions directly on the drawing PDF

Receive the agreed files for your next step.
After the project review, we issue the final drawing package specified in the quote. You can use those files to continue your permitting or contractor coordination process, subject to local requirements.
- Final PDF drawing package
- Editable CAD/DWG where expressly included
- Follow-up review of applicable in-scope comments
Send the address. We’ll discuss the drawing scope.
What should you have ready?
The address and a simple description are enough to begin an inquiry. Additional records help us price and prepare the right drawings.

Start with your address and a short description of the proposed work.
Send My Project DetailsKnow what’s included.
Know what’s separate.
We tailor the package to the project rather than treating every improvement as the same drawing. The quote identifies precisely what your work requires.
Property layout and proposed work
- Existing site information based on provided records
- Proposed footprint, location and dimensions
- Setbacks or coverage information when included
- Notes and drawing format defined in your quote
Specialist or jurisdiction-specific items
- Certified boundary/topographic surveys
- Structural, MEP and grading/drainage design
- Licensed professional review or sealing
- Permit filing, review fees and new work outside scope
Important: A drafting package is not a guarantee of permit approval. The authority having jurisdiction decides what documentation and approvals are required.
What will you receive?
Your written scope defines the completed deliverables. For a site plan this commonly means an organized PDF, with other formats or professional services only when specifically included.
Final drawing sheets agreed for the site-plan scope.
Editable CAD format when it is listed in the quote.
Assistance with applicable corrections within the agreed scope.

What if the city requests changes?
Review comments are a normal part of many permit applications. Send us the actual comments so we can separate corrections to the agreed drawings from additional work.
- 01Forward written review commentsInclude the reviewer notes and drawing set previously submitted.
- 02Confirm the correction scopeWe identify what falls within the original quote and what may be extra.
- 03Review the updated drawingConfirm revisions before submitting the updated files.
Before you begin.
Practical answers about source documents, timing, drawings, and permit corrections.
See All FAQsCan I get a quote without a property survey?
Yes. Provide the address and proposed improvement first. We’ll explain whether a current survey or verified property information is needed for the particular drawing scope.
How soon will my drawings be finished?
The estimated schedule is provided with your quote and depends on project complexity, available information, requested revisions and any necessary professional review.
Are engineering seals included?
Not automatically. When regulated engineering or a professional seal is needed, that work is separately identified and subject to review and acceptance by an appropriately licensed professional.
Can you revise drawings after city comments?
Send the written city or county comments along with the submitted drawings. We’ll check whether changes fall within the agreed scope or require additional drawings or professional services.
Do you file the permit for me?
Permit application filing, review fees and direct coordination with the jurisdiction are not included unless your written proposal expressly includes those services.
Which drawing files do I receive?
A final PDF is standard for a site-plan drafting scope. Editable DWG, additional sheets and other formats are included only when listed in the proposal.
